This episode is a little different from the usual Submissive Guide Podcast.

I recently did a podcast swap with Alesandra from Dom Sub Living. She is sharing one of my episodes with her audience, and I’m sharing one of theirs with you so we can introduce our communities to another source of BDSM education and another perspective on living D/s in everyday life.

For this swap, I chose an episode where Alesandra and her Dominant, Jay, answer questions submitted by members of the Dom Sub Living community.

It’s a bit of a sampler platter of D/s topics.

In this episode, they talk about:

• shifting from work mode into submissive headspace
• finding kink community when fear or uncertainty gets in the way
• deciding how much to share about D/s with family
• relationships where both partners identify as Dominant
• long-distance D/s, rules, aftercare, and sub drop
• exploring both sides of the slash as a switch

• different approaches to dirty talk

One of the reasons I enjoy hearing other educators answer familiar questions is that there is rarely one universal way to build a D/s relationship. What works for Alesandra and Jay may look different from what works in my dynamic or yours, and those differences can give us new things to think about.
